Every piece of Natalie Kube Jewellery is unique and requires special care to keep it looking its best. Below are some care guidelines to help you keep your jewellery in its best condition.
When you are not wearing your jewellery, the best place to keep your jewellery in the box you purchased it in or on a jewellery holder. This will protect the jewellery from being scratched, and from scratching other pieces. Remove your jewels when swimming and gardening so you don't lose them or damage them on rough surfaces.
During the course of ordinary wear, a diamond is exposed to dirt, dust, perspiration, makeup, and natural skin oils, as well as household chemicals, like chlorine and hairspray. Over time, these materials build up on a diamond, dulling its natural beauty.
Natalie recommends having your diamond professionally cleaned and inspected once every six months or if it undergoes some form of trauma, such as being dropped or hit against a hard surface. These inspections help prevent the loss of your diamond solitaire in the event your ring has been inadvertently damaged.

Because unforeseen thefts do happen, Natalie strongly recommends that you insure your diamond against loss, theft, and damage. Contact your home and contents Insurance provider for more details.
Keep your gold jewellery away from harsh chemicals such as chlorine and cleaning fluids. This will reduce daily abrasions and prolong gold's luster. Store gold pieces separately in soft cloth bags or original boxes to protect them from the exposure to harsh daily elements. For heavy scratches and a professional finish, Natalie offers a repolishing and re-matting service free of charge.
Because white gold has the slightest tinge of yellow to it, to maintain its bright white appearance your white gold piece may need to be rhodium plated once every year depending on wear. Natalie only uses white gold alloys that are of the highest quality. Alternatively you can order a Special White Gold which is slightly more expensive that does not require Rhodium plating
Natalie only used the highest quality Sterling Silver from Australian suppliers, and takes great care making each piece. As with most precious metals, in time silver will lose its shine and sometimes tarnish. Some wearers have high acid levels in their skin and can only wear certain metals as when they wear silver it turns black. Avoid wearing your silver in mineral baths and spas as this may affect the metal finish. Excessive perspiration and body oils can sometimes surface tarnish the piece. This can be remedied by occasionally wiping your silver pieces with a silver polishing cloth purchased at any good supermarket will bring their shine back. For matt pieces a green kitchen scourer rubbed over the piece can re matt it. Hard knocks and dents in your silver jewellery can usually sanded then polished out and Natalie Kube offers a repolishing and re-matting service free of charge for the life of the piece.
Settings should be checked by a jeweller once a year. Although Natalie Kube takes great care when setting a stone, hard knocks will cause damage to settings. If you drop or knock your setting it is best to take the piece to Natalie to check it for you so as to not risk losing a stone. To clean your stone set piece, leave to soak in a bowl of warm water with a mild liquid detergent and a spoonful of cloudy ammonia for a few minutes, then using a soft bristle toothbrush, gently clean. Rinse the piece under lukewarm running water and use a soft cloth or tissue to dry the piece. Alternatively Natalie can repolish your stone set piece free of charge.
Wood Inlay pieces are painstakingly made, and for this reason Wood Inlay pieces should never be worn in Salt Water or Chlorinated water as this may affect the wood as well as the epoxy glue. Each piece is glued and riveted in place and is designed to last. In the unlikely event that you should notice the wood loosening, please contact Natalie Kube immediately to look at the piece. Replacement guarantee on the wood is provided as long as these care instructions are followed.
The blackening on the jewellery is permanent, but as it is a surface finish it may alter over time.
