Beginners Jewellery Making Course

This course will teach students the basic techniques involved in jewellery making.
In 8 hours ( 2 x 4 hour lessons) students will learn about turning their own design using sawpiercing into Sterling Silver pendant and assemble it onto a sterling silver chain, a sterling silver ring and pair of Sterling silver drop earrings.
Learning techniques such as sawpiercing, forming, filing, soldering, sanding and finishing, you will create three pieces, a Sterling Silver Pendant of your design, Then you will learn how to roll out, anneal, measure form and solder a ring from an sterling silver Ingot, you will also make a pair of drop earrings.
All tools and materials are included in the course price.
Classes are flexible and are usually broken up in 2 x 4 hour classes over 2 weeks.

SAFETY - Natalie Kube takes safety very seriously at the Studio. All Students must wear long pants that cover the ankles, and fully enclosed shoes (preferably leather). Long hair must be tied back and workshop safety wear such as leather apron and eyewear will be provided.
CLASS SIZE - Natalie Kube believes that one on one tutoring is the safest and best way to ensure students get the most out of their studio silversmithing experience.
TUTOR - Natalie has been making jewellery now since 1998.
Completing her Advanced Diploma in Jewellery and Object Design in 2002 she craved more experience and did short courses with private jewellers in setting and crafting.
In 2012 she returned to Enmore Design Centre (TAFE) to complete her Trade in Jewellery Manufacturing and is now a Qualified Jeweller.
