Natalie Kube's love affair with crafting metal began back in 1997 when she met a woman wearing an amazing silver cuff in Newtown, and asked where she bought it.
The woman told her she made it herself and that she teaches classes, and Natalie enrolled in a Silversmithing night classes at the old Silk Knit Building in Surry Hills, Sydney.

She realised a passion for making and wanted to learn more and so, in 1998 decided to further her skills with Wal Van Heeckeren's "School for Silversmiths" in his amazing workshop in St Peters, where she studied intensively for 8 months under Wal’s experienced eye, learning invaluable techniques that serve her to this day. 

 

Realising the corporate world was not for her, in 2000 Natalie decided to quit her full-time job to pursue her dreams and study Jewellery and Object Design full-time at Enmore Design Centre. Whilst studying she alternated between two jobs - one for a costume jewellery company in Summer Hill and another manufacturing silver jewellery in Marrickville.

After completing her Associate Diploma In Jewellery and Object Design, she then went into the industry to gain further experience from 2002 – 2005 working for Jewellery companies such as Dinosaur Designs, Bouvier and Cerrone Jewellers.

Taking all her knowledge and skills learnt to date, Natalie Kube Bespoke Jewellery was born in 2006 so that she could have total creative and manufacturing outlet with her pieces and serve her growing list of clients.
She started at Paddington Markets selling her work in 2007 and continued to do so weekly until 2010. 

2010 brought a change to the Mid north coast to be with family,  working for self and attending markets in Newcastle.

Hungry to learn more, and complete her Trade,  2012 took her back to Enmore Design Centre to gain her Trade Apprenticeship in Jewellery Manufacture for a further 3 years.

In 2018 Natalie moved to Newcastle and worked from her garage until 2021 when she opened a Studio in New Lambton Village .

With over 25 years experience in the industry, Natalie specialises in Remodels, Bespoke one-off pieces designed to each client. She believes in transparency and making each keepsake to embrace a story. Using age old techniques she believes that jewellery should be made slowly with love and by hand, no two pieces are the same and each piece is made to order. 

All pieces are Designed and handmade from start to finish by Natalie herself in her New Lambton Studio in Newcastle, NSW.
