Beginners Jewellery Making Course
This course is an intensive structured workshop that will teach you the important techniques involved in jewellery making.
Course duration is 4 weeks (2 hours per week) and flexible with times. Total Course duration is 8 hours.
In this workshop you will design and sawpierce a Sterling Silver pendant, and assemble it onto a sterling silver chain, you will make a sterling silver ring from an ingot and pair of Sterling silver drop and natural stone earrings.
Learning techniques such as sawpiercing, forming, filing, soldering, sanding and finishing, you will create Three (3) pieces - a Sterling Silver pendant that you design and make and polish.
Then you will learn how to roll out, anneal, measure form and solder a ring from an sterling silver Ingot.
You will also make a pair of drop earrings with a beaded natural stone.
All use of tools and materials (sterling silver, stones etc) are INCLUDED in the course price! All you need is you!
Classes are flexible and are usually broken up in 2 hour classes over 4 weeks. (8 hour total course duration).

SAFETY - Natalie Kube takes safety very seriously at the Studio. All Students must wear long pants that cover the ankles, and fully enclosed shoes (preferably leather). Long hair must be tied back and workshop safety wear such as leather apron and eyewear will be provided.
CLASS SIZE - Natalie Kube believes that smaller numbers for tutoring is the safest and best way to ensure students get the most out of their studio silversmithing experience. For this reason Natalie will not tutor more than two (2) students per class.
TUTOR - Natalie has been making jewellery now since 1998.
Completing her Advanced Diploma in Jewellery and Object Design in 2002 at Enmore Design Centre (TAFE), she craved more experience and did short courses with private jewellers in setting and crafting in Sydney from 2003-2010.
In 2005 Natalie started private one on one tutoring of Jewellery classes at her studio in Sydney.
In 2012 she returned to Enmore Design Centre (TAFE) to complete her Trade in Jewellery Manufacturing and is now a Qualified Jeweller.
2018 - Natalie moved to Newcastle to service her growing list of clients in remodels, and bespoke pieces.
